Oak Ridge High School Bands

Wildcat Band
The ORHS Wildcat Band performs at football games, parades and community events. All students enrolled in the Band and Color Guard classes perform with this group. The group has a Wildcat Band Mini Band Camp prior to the beginning of school with an additional one or two days of rehearsal once school starts. Students practice during class throughout the football season. Extra practices are called as needed.

 

Concert Band
Chair placement is dependent on annual seating auditions. This band concentrates on performance techniques and musical performance.

 

JazzKats
The JazzKats are an afterschool ensemble. The group performs at all concerts, as well as other select venues in town. JazzKats is a volunteer group under the direction of Mr. Michael Spirko. It is open to all members of the ORHS Band as well as other students in the school who may be interested.

 

Ensembles
Brass, Woodwind, and Percussion ensembles are featured at concerts throughout the year. The band also divides into smaller "Pep Bands" to provide music at other events.
