Free UT Symphony Orchestra Concert
We are delighted to host the University of Tennessee Symphony Orchestra for a special concert at Oak Ridge High School on Wednesday, February 10th at 4:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center. Works to be performed will include Giuseppe Verdi's Overture to La Forza del Destino and movements from Piotr Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2 "Little Russian." Also featured on the program will be Wolfgang Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, with UT Professor of Clarinet Gary Sperl, who will be performing on a rare Extended-Range Basset-Clarinet, the instrument for which Mozart originally wrote his Concerto. Director of Orchestras James Fellenbaum and Oak Ridge Youth Symphony Orchestra Music Director Rachel Grubb will conduct the program.
Mr. Wade is requesting that all band students attend the concert.
