Oak Ridge Band Spring Trip 2008
April 3 – 6, Orlando, FL

We’re excited to announce our bi-annual spring trip. This year we have scheduled several exciting activities and performances that are fun and educational. Our proposed daily itinerary is as follows:

Wednesday, April 2nd:
8:00P.M. Meet in band room for brief rehearsal, rules/expectations meeting.
10:00P.M. Load busses and depart for Orlando

Thursday, April 3rd:
8:30 A.M. Arrive at GOLDEN CORRAL for full buffet breakfast.
After Breakfast – Depart to SEAWORLD ADVENTURE PARK. Lunch will be on your own in the park.
6:00 P.M. Depart to CLARION HOTEL UNIVERSAL. Check in to rooms and freshen up, change clothes.
8:30 P.M. Depart to SLEUTH’S MYSTERY DINNER SHOW
9:00 P.M. Dinner Show (Cornish Hen or lasagna with or without meatballs)
11:30 P.M. Return to Hotel.

Friday, April 4th:
7:30 A.M. Buffet Breakfast at the hotel. Change into marching uniforms before boarding bus.
8:30 A.M. Depart to UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT
9:00 A.M. Meet Universal host for parade performance
10:00 AM: ORHS Band Parade Performance
11:00 A.M. Change into park clothes on the bus. Re-enter the park. A meal coupon will be provided for a dinner in the park. Lunch is on your own.
8:00 P.M. Return to Hotel.

Saturday, April 5th:

6:00 A.M. Buffet Breakfast at the hotel. Change into Concert uniforms before boarding bus.
6:45 A.M. Depart for Colonial High School for Festival Performances
8:00 A.M. Concert Band Performance for adjudication
8:30 A.M. Symphonic Band Performance for adjudication
9:30 A.M. Depart to UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT where you will visit either UNIVERSAL STUDIOS OR ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE Meal coupon will be provided for dinner
11:45 A.M. Jazz Band members and Director will walk to Bus parking to get instruments and then proceed to the Plaza Stage located at CityWalk .
1:00 PM. ORHS JazzKats Performance @ Universal City Walk
7:45 P.M. Awards presentation
8:30 P.M. Meet in front of the Sharp Aquos Theatre located between Hard Rock Café and the main entrance to Universal Studios
9:00 P.M. Blue Man Group Show
11:30 P.M. Return to hotel

Sunday, April 6th:
8:00 A.M. Buffet Breakfast at the hotel
PACK – LOAD - CHECKOUT
9:30 A.M. Leave for home. Lunch stop (fast food – on own) enroute.
8:30 P.M. Estimated return to ORHS.

Final Trip payments are now due.
