Students are expected
to ride to and from events with the band, and
are never
allowed to transport themselves to away games or events,
or ride home from those events with anyone other than their
parents or legal guardians. If a
parent wishes to take a student home directly from the
event, please send
a note to the school
prior to the day of the game indicating your plans. The
parent and student must personally see one of the staff members
after the game before the student is excused (please do not
ask to be excused after halftime).
Students must stay with
our group while at the game. Chaperones will escort
students to the rest room, etc. as necessary.
No eating or concessions
during the game. Food is bad for your instrument,
and as we have learned through experience, bad for the
appearance of your uniform. Students may bring 'non-messy' snacks to eat on the bus if desired, but must be responsible for cleaning their own trash.
Students are reminded that they are
representing our school and our band program while traveling,
and are expected to be on their best behavior. Serious
offences such as use of drugs/alcohol, criminal activity
(shoplifting), or fighting will be immediately referred
to student affairs for disciplinary action, including
suspension or expulsion from school. |
