• The 2009-10 Field Commanders are Lauren Carr and Loren Lee. A heartfelt 'thanks' goes out to all those who took the time to try out. We appreciate your dedication to our band program.
• Both Concert bands earned Superior ratings at the 2009 ETSBOA State Concert Festival in Chattanooga. The Symphonic Band performed 'Rise of the Firebird', '1st Suite in Eb for Military Band', and 'Punchinello' in Grade VI. The Concert Band performed 'Soveriegn Variants' and 'Metroplex' in Grade V. In addition, both bands earned a 'Superior' rating in Sight Reading.
• Congratulations to Emily Backus (Percussion), Claire Campbell (Flute), Josh Maberry (Tuba), and Jed Storey (Trumpet) on being selected for the 2009 Tennessee All-State Band. In addition, Catherine Backus, Katie Browning, David Kahn, and Rachel Oliver were selected for the All-State East Blue Band.
• Congratulations to the following 9th Grade students selected for the ETSBOA Jr. Clinic 9th Grade Band: Justin Carrol, Ben Foust, Tim Geist, Evan Glass, Jordan Kaldenbach, Adam Moreno, Greg Pawel, Kayla Sweet, and Brittany White. In addition, Sarah Insalaco and Houston Rogers were selected as 1st Alternate for their sections. Thanks to all who took the time to try out and represent out school.
• Congratulations to the Band and Field Commanders for earning 'Superior' ratings at the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, TN.
  Congratulations to the Band, Field Commanders, and Drumline for earning 'Superior' ratings at the Foothills Classic in Seymour, TN.
• Congratulations to the Band and Drumline for earning 'Superior' marks at the Choo Choo Classic in Hixson, TN.
