• Congratulations to both the Concert and Symphonic Bands for earning straight Superior Ratings at the ETSBOA Concert Festival. The Concert band performed 'Havendance' and 'Symphonic Psalm' in Grade V, while the Symphonic Band performed 'Abram's Pursuit' and 'Finale from the New World Symphony' in Grade VI.
• Congratulations to Kyoung-a Cho (Tenor Sax) for qualifying for the Tennessee All-State Band, and for earing 1st chair honors at the All-East Auditions. Congratulations also to Tim Geist for earning Blue Band honors at the clinic. All in all, 10 ORHS students qualified for a spot in the All-State East clinic. Thanks to all who took the time to audition and represent our school.
• Congratulations to the 10 ORHS students selected for the ETSBOA 9th Grade Band Clinic. Special recognition goes to Alex Caughman (Horn) and Alex Plaster (Euphonium) for earning 1st chair honors.
• Congratulations to AJ Toth for earning 1st chair 'Blue Band' honors on piano at the ETSBOA Jazz Clinic auditions.
• The Wildband was selected as the WBIR Band of the Week after the Hardin Valley Game. Click Here to view a short video of part of the performance.
• Congratulations to the band for winning the Grand Champion Trophy at the Stone Memorial Invitational, and to the drumline for winning the overall best percussion trophy.
• Congratulations to the band on being a Finalist at the Karns Marching Invitational.
• Thanks to our Band Boosters and Student Volunteers for the successful Pancake Breakfast. We greatly appreciate the many hours of planning and work involved to support our program.
• Our 2011 Field Commanders are Cassee Cain and Sarah Cottingham. Our show will feature the music of Bill Chase.
